Mentoring Opportunity - Raise Foundation

Raise Foundation is a mentoring organisation that improves the lives of young people facing profound challenges through our program in high schools.

They are conducting our annual recruitment drive and are seeking interested volunteers who are able to spare 2 hours a week during Term 2 and 3 of the school year in 2019.

Mentors might be retired, parenting at home, studying, or have flexible work hours.

You don’t have to be a teacher or an expert to be a mentor. You just need to be a good listener and able to act as a sounding board for ideas and aspirations.

Each volunteer mentor is provided with free training in youth mentoring to equip them with the necessary skills needed to make a real difference in the life of a young person.

No other special skills or qualifications are required.

Raise Foundation will run programs in 9 schools across the Greater Brisbane and Logan regions in 2019.

We need lots of mentors – both male and female.

Don’t delay, recruitment and training has commenced and opportunities remain throughout November, December and January.

Register your interest or get in touch to ask any further questions by going to raise.org.au/volunteer or download the PDF which contains more information.
