Subject list for the BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management

There are 12 units of competency delivered across three stages.

You will be supported throughout the course program via regular Trainer support, online eLearning, live and recorded web-tutorials, live chats and forums which are aimed at supporting individual learner needs.

Assessment methods

As you progress through the units there will be opportunities for you to test your own learning by completing a number of general questions and activities, such as Multiple Choice and Short Answer Questions, Projects, Case Studies, Practical Tasks and Observations. At the end of each unit, you will be formally assessed by your Assessor.

All written and recorded evidence requirements are to be uploaded to the Australis College online portal. This evidence will form part of your competency assessment. As such, online study is a key element of the Australis training methodology, therefore you will need to have regular access to both a computer and the Internet whilst at the same time have a sound level of experience using computers and computer applications including the Internet.

Entry Requirements

There are no general entry requirements for this leadership and management course, however, you will need access to an internet-connected computer for the duration of your study.

If you intend to apply for a Government or Private Study loan to pay your tuition fees, loan eligibility and entry criteria will apply.

Professional Development

This course can also be undertaken for Professional Development purposes in which case you simply learn the course materials, however, do not complete the assessments.

Delivery & Support

This course’s delivery method is via Online Live.

The program is delivered online however support is provided via live online sessions. These “virtual” classrooms and chat sessions provide direct regular access to industry experts and other students. Attendance at live sessions is usually optional but strongly recommended.

Course Duration

Your initial enrolment provides access to the course for 12 months, but you can complete faster than this if you wish.

Your actual completion time will vary depending on how much time you commit to your study and what knowledge you already have.

Tuition Fees & Payment Options

The course fee depends on which option you choose from below:

$2,880 payable via the following options:

1 – Monthly Payment Plan with Australis College

An interest-free payment plan of $240 per month for 12 months = $2,880. Click here to find out more about Payment Plans.

2 – Vet Student Loan from the Commonwealth Government

$2,880 tuition + 20% Government loan fee = $3,456. This course is available under the VET Student Loans scheme, subject to eligibility and entry criteria. It is not approved for students who do not meet eligibility requirements. Approved VSL will incur a 20% loan fee and will result in a VETSL debt that continues to be a debt until repaid to the Commonwealth.

3 – Private Student Loan from ‘Study Loans’

Study Loans will progressively loan you the $2,880 tuition fee. This loan, plus interest, needs to be repaid over a maximum 4-year term. Click here to find out more about Study Loans.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Your work and life experiences are valuable. So valuable, in fact, they may reduce the time and cost for you to attain a qualification.

If you have existing skills and knowledge you may be able to undertake Assessment Only for some or all of the subjects. This means you just do the assessments for those subjects without any study. The fee will vary depending on which subjects you require access to so please contact the team for more details.
